Audio Journal Volunteers Featured on The Curious Senior
For nearly 20 years, Audio Journal volunteers Bev and Marion have spent their Thursdays helping people who are blind or print-impaired stay connected to their community by reading the Worcester Telegram & Gazette live on the air.
Their dedication recently caught the attention of The Curious Senior, a video series celebrating older adults who remain curious, active, involved, and inspired. In this episode, Bev and Marion share how they found Audio Journal after retirement, what goes into preparing for a live reading, and how volunteering has brought them friendship, routine, and a continued sense of purpose.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to have Bev and Marion—and the important work of our volunteers—featured in such a wonderful way. Thank you to Shrewsbury Media Connection's Marc Serra and David Lynch for creating this video.
